Therapy FAQs

1. Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, we offer a free 15 minute consultation to determine if we can address your therapy needs and decide if we are the best fit to work with you.

 

2. What can I expect during the consultation call?

You will be asked some basic information. You should be prepared to talk about the reason you are looking for a therapist, and you may ask questions you have about the services. During the consultation, you will have an opportunity to determine if you wish to proceed with scheduling an intake appointment.

 

3. What happens after the consultation call?

If you scheduled an intake appointment, you will receive an email to confirm your scheduled appointment date and time. The email will include intake paperwork for you to complete before your scheduled appointment. If you are scheduled for a virtual therapy session, you will receive instructions about how to log on for your session.

4. What can I expect during the intake session?

You will talk to your therapist in more detail about why your are seeking therapy.  Your therapist may review the information that you provided on your intake form prior to the appointment.  The information gathered during the intake session helps your therapist determine if there is a diagnosis, and it helps to guide the focus of treatment. During your intake, you will get a sense of what your therapist is like and whether you feel that you can work well together.

 

5. What will we do in therapy?

We will talk about what concerns you. We will identify the issues that you want addressed. We will work together to come up with a treatment plan. Together we will work to improve your condition or issue(s) of concern.

 

6. How long will I be in therapy?

Treatment duration depends on many factors including the presenting problem/issue to be addressed, severity of the problem, frequency of sessions, and active participation by the Client(s).

 

7. How often do I need to come to therapy?

Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis, but depending on your needs can be scheduled bi-weekly or even monthly.

 

8. What are your fees?

Individual Therapy session cost $200 for a 50 minute session. Couples Therapy sessions cost $250 for a 50 minute session. Prices for Forensic Services vary by type of evaluation.

 

9. Do you accept insurance?

No, we dot no accept insurance. However, we can offer you a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have coverage for out of network providers.

 

10. Do you offer in person services?

Yes, however, in-person availability is very limited. We offer Individual Therapy and Couples Therapy in our Porter Ranch office located at 11145 Tampa Ave, Suite 24A, Porter Ranch, CA 91326.

 

11. Do you offer online therapy?

Yes, we offer virtual or online therapy in California through our secure telehealth platform. You will be provided with instructions and information about how to log on for your online therapy session.

 

12. Do you offer reduced fee sessions?

No, we do not offer reduced fee sessions at this time.

 

13. What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you do not attend your scheduled session, or cancel with less than 48-hour notice, you will be charged the full scheduled session fee unless the cancellation was due to an emergency or illness.
